After pit crewing for his brother David for a year, Greg got the itch to race himself.  So
Dad found another sprint car, an 05 model Eagle with a 360 cu-in motor, for Greg to start
in.

Greg’s first season was a little up and down, with a spectacular rollover at Bunbury
speedway, by climbing the fence after mounting the back wheel of another sprint car that
was going too slow for Greg.  The car was a total write-off leaving the crew to work hard
that week to be back on the track the following Saturday.  The original 03 Eagle was re-
vamped and ready to race on the Saturday night.

In Greg’s first season he raced extremely well and ended up finishing third in his division.
This season sees Greg in a new 07 Maxim, running a 372 cu-in motor for the first half of
the season and a 410 cu-in is in the shed ready for the second half of the season.  Greg
also starts with new colours and Richard Bunker and brother Brett on crew.  The season
is shaping up to be the best yet for Greg and Halls Motorsport as well….
