2006
After pit crewing for his brother David for a year, Greg got the itch to race himself. So Dad found another sprint car, an 05 model Eagle with a 360 cu-in
motor, for Greg to start in.
Greg’s first season was a little up and down, with a spectacular rollover at Bunbury speedway, by climbing the fence after mounting the back wheel of another
sprint car. The car was a total write-off leaving the crew to work hard that week to be back on the track the following Saturday. The original 03 Eagle was re-
vamped and ready to race on the Saturday night.
In Greg’s first season he raced extremely well and ended up finishing third on points in his 360 division .
2007
This season sees Greg in a new 07 Maxim, running a 372 cu-in motor for the first half of the season and a 410 cu-in is in the shed ready for the second half
of the season. Greg also starts with new colours and Richard Bunker and brother Brett on crew. The season is shaping up to be the best yet for Greg and
Halls Motorsport as well.
2008
Greg started this year with a new paint job he went from Black and White to all Black and a Red and Silver stripe and share the best presented car with his
brother David. Halls Motorsport also won the best looking Crew that year so it was a good year for looks.
Greg had a reasonable season finishing top 10 in his division that year and had his fair share of prangs we thought it was time to get rid of the Black car.
2009
Brian and Greg with Kent and Richard Flew to America to race, We raced around North Dakota and South Dakota and at the Sprint Car Capital of the world
Knoxville in Iowa for about 8 weeks and that was a lot of experience because we did about 22 meeting in that short time. Then finished up at the Knoxville
Nationals then flew home.
2010
Greg had the year off so that he can sort out new cars and new gear, So at this stage he has 3 brand new Schnee Chassis to put together we have a
container arriving in Early October from America with all brand new gear. So he will be ready for the up in coming season.
